About Me
I am Lecturer I at the Hong Kong Baptist University. I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Duke University. After that, I was a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Duke University. I worked as a research scientist at the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks from 2020 to 2023. I had also been a researcher at Hausdorff Institute of Mathematics of the University of Bonn in Germany in 2016.
My research interests lie in the general area of signal processing, high-dimensional data analysis, non-convex optimization, and applications.
Recent Highlights
- November 2024: I served as Technical Program Committee for IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) 2025, IEEE International Conference on Agents (ICA) 2024, and Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (PRICAI) 2024.
- May 2024: I served as Grant Review Panalist for Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) Fund.
- February 2024: I served as a technical committee member for the 2024 International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI).
- November 2023: I served as a reviewer for the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI), and have organized guest lectures on cybersecurity and blockchain technology at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
- August 2023: I served as a session chair of the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI), and served as a technical program committee member for the IEEE 2023 International Conference on Agents (ICA) and the 26th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC2023).
- March 2023: I served as a technical program committee member for the International Conference of Learning Representation (ICLR) and the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) this year.
- November 2022: Our developed AR-VR head-mount display received the Hong Kong Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Smart Business Award.
- September 2022: I am the Session Chair on Image Application of 2022 SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Data Science.
- June 2022: Our phase retrieval paper and generative adversarial network (GAN) paper are accepted by the 2022 IEEE International Conference in Image Processing (ICIP) and Handbook of Mathematical Models and Algorithms in Computer Vision and Imaging.
